Membership Application - Spring 2008 |
RowingWe are very excited about our second season based at our home boathouse on Spring Tree Road, 300 yards past the Marina Restaurant. We are expanding our programming this season and hope to have many more people using our facilities and enjoying the West and Connecticut Rivers. Row-BOC will conduct learn-to-row clinics in conjunction with the Putney Rowing Club in June. These clinics will be a great opportunity for people to get a thorough introduction to the sports of rowing and sculling and will serve as a gateway orientation for those interested in full membership. Please refer to the Brattleboro Outing Club website for further details or send an e-mail to me at tim@doubledogcenter.org to be put on our e-mail list. The Brattleboro Junior Crew (BJC), a committed group of young rowers, will row from late April to late June. The program will take place on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays from 3-4:45 pm and is open to all area high school athletes. We will teach the basics of rowing, getting more fit, and racing. The program fee is $100-$150 depending on the sign-up; some scholarships will be available. Interested athletes and parents should contact me by e-mail. Finally, we will be sprucing up the boathouse and setting out the docks
if conditions permit on Saturday, April 12 at 9 am at the boathouse. We
